Limitedlifetime warranty.
For as long as you own the vehicle, our workmanship is our problem — not yours.
The Warranty
What is covered
CBS Auto Body warrants the repairs against any defects in materials and workmanship for a limited lifetime. The warranty includes any defects that arise from either improper installation of the vehicle, paint, and/or defective parts.
In plain terms: if the paint we applied lifts, peels, blisters or fails; if a panel we fitted works loose or sits wrong; if a part we supplied turns out to be defective — bring the car back and we put it right at no charge.
The warranty is handed to you in writing when you collect the car, attached to the repair order that lists exactly what was done. Keep it with your service records.
Paint & refinishing
Lifting, peeling, blistering or premature failure of the finish we applied.
Workmanship
Defects arising from how a part was installed, aligned or finished by us.
Defective parts
A component we supplied that fails because it was faulty rather than because it was hit.
Limited lifetime
No expiry date while the vehicle remains in your ownership.
The Fine Print
When it does not apply
Three conditions void this warranty. We would rather you read them here than discover them later.
The warranty is personal to you as the owner at the time of the repair. It does not transfer to a subsequent buyer.
If another shop attempts to repair or alter the same work, we can no longer stand behind it. If something is wrong, bring it back to us first — that is the whole point of the warranty.
A new collision in the same place we repaired ends the warranty on that repair. A new impact is new damage, not a defect in our work.
This warranty covers defects in our materials and workmanship. It does not cover normal wear, stone chips, environmental fallout, neglect, or damage caused by a subsequent accident. It does not affect any separate warranty offered by the vehicle’s manufacturer or by a parts supplier.
Making A Claim
Bring the car back.
That is the whole process.
Call the shop, describe what you are seeing, and bring it in when it suits you. Bring the repair order if you still have it — and if you do not, we do.
